INTERNSHIPS IN INDIA

ADMIN ASSISTANTS

We need volunteers for client home visits, shopping, outings for coffee/lunch, transport to appointments etc. Volunteers will require their own car to transport clients or be willing to use public transport for home visits.

SPECIAL EVENTS

The Centre for Volunteering is assisting member organisations to find volunteers for a number of special events. These include:

  • One of the official charity partners of the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival on 19 September requires volunteers to assist in the event in and around the city, Milsons Point and Centennial Park. You will be placed at various stations along the running track, assisting the event organisers to ensure the smooth running of the Festival. Starting from 6am and finish around 11am - noon.   • Various roles available for the MS Australia Sydney to the Gong Bike Ride on 7 November, including: Base Coordinators, Base Assistants, Sector Manager (approx 15km - use own transport), Route Marshals, Motorcycle Marshals (own motorcycle), Bicycle Mechanics (own basic repair kit), Bike Lift Crew (Sydney Park, St Peters (start) and also at Heathcote and Wollongong), equipment crew to set up marquees, etc. Last rider also required (in front of support vehicle and police).   • The Newtown Festival on 14 November is a wonderful community event raising funds for the Newtown Neighbourhood Centre. Volunteers are encouraged to come out and enjoy the festival as well as help out a worthy cause. In volunteering you are gaining experience, meeting new people, being a part of a great team and working with a dedicated Volunteer Coordinator, provided with training and an OHS briefing, a free festival t-shirt, midshift snacks, lunch and beverages, and post-event party.
