What is Fido Skilled Volunteer Search?
Fido Skilled Volunteer Search connects skilled, experienced volunteers with not-for-profit organisations.

Fido Skilled Volunteer Search is a service of The Centre for Volunteering, the peak body for volunteering in NSW.

Fido Skilled Volunteer Search has three simultaneous ways of advertising skilled volunteer positions:

  1. They are advertised in The Sydney Morning Herald’s Help Desk column on the inside back page of the News Review section on Saturdays and on the inside back page of the main news section on Mondays. Help Desk advertises five volunteer positions every Monday and three on Saturdays.
  2. They are advertised on our new Fido website in latest jobs every Monday.
  3. The Centre for Volunteering emails the Fido volunteer jobs e-bulletin to volunteers every Monday.

Using Fido Skilled Volunteer Search
Fido Skilled Volunteer Search is updated weekly. Each job listing includes the job title, location, organisation, organisation contact person and contact details and a short description of the volunteer job.

Volunteer jobs can be one-off, for one hour, one day, one week or can last for months or even years. You can make a short term or regular commitment - it's your choice.

What types of volunteer jobs are advertised on Fido Skilled Volunteer Search?
Fido Skilled Volunteer Search focuses on volunteer jobs that are:

Our volunteer referral service helps over three hundred not-for-profit member organisations recruit volunteers. This allows us to:

  • put you in touch with a wide range of volunteering opportunities, and
  • suggest volunteering opportunities in areas closely related to your interests.
