We will require a copy of your valid driver’s licence (with the current address) plus either your passport, birth certificate or citizenship certificate.
Are there any extra costs?
At Fido we offer flexibility for our driver partners. You can choose whether you want unlimited kilometres so the only extra costs you need to allow for is fuel, traffic offences, tolls and any repairs or damage not covered by insurance or warranty. OR you can save $15 on your rental amount and go for our vehicles that have a 1,500km weekly allowance. If you exceed those kilometres, we will bill you 7.5 cents per kilometre over the allowance.
Can I drive my car for personal use?
Of course, however we do have a maximum distance of 150 kilometres from the Perth CBD unless approved in writing by Fido management.
What happens if I am involved in a car accident?
First of all, make sure you and any occupants are safe. Call an ambulance immediately if you are concerned for someone. Once everyone is safe and secure, call your roadside assistance phone number on the windscreen if required. If the car is driveable bring it into us at Fido when we are open, and we can advise you what to do next. If the car has been towed, as it isn’t drivable, let us know immediately and we will organise a replacement vehicle within one working day.
What requirements do I need to join?
If you are a current rideshare driver you will pass the minimum requirements to be eligible to become a Fido member.
